Match 01A Home vs Coronado Loss 5-13

Team Blue
Well the season opener against Coronado didn’t go as well as anticipated as we lost at home 5-13. It was a slog fest as the entire course had standing water from the rain the night before. Despite the very wet conditions, we were fortunate we were able to play this match and not have to reschedule. Coronado did bring a “stacked” team…check out the roster.
Team A - Arnold Borromeo and Jeff Boyer battled hard winning two points on the front nine and it wasn’t until the 18th that the match was decided. A shot or two in our favor would have won the hole and got all 6 points. Good playing guys!
Team B - Jim Preston and Dave Mulgrew, simply put, played horribly all match. They had some opportunities to make a move but couldn’t capitalize. One of their players, Glenn Powder, was playing terrific recording a gross 75(67).
Team C - Tom Stamos and John Linster battled hard and ended up with a tie 3-3.
The team is looking forward to playing at the historic and beautiful Coronado Golf Course. We hoping for some better weather and conditions as we try to upset them on their home course.
