Match 16B TO @ Cottonwood Loss 0-18

With course flags flying at half-mast, and all team members heads held low, team blue had a difficult time playing, knowing that our fearless leader was clinging to life by a thread.  The black arm band I was wearing made it difficult for me to swing the club.  (next time I’ll get one that only goes around the arm, and not around the neck also!)  I know they say to keep your head down, which I did, but it was difficult seeing the ball through the tears.  Team blue put up a good fight, but our opponents didn’t seem to care, in the least, that our dear Ricky may never play again!  (Some question whether he was actually playing before his hospitalization?)  While our hearts just weren’t in it, and we lost the match 18 zip, there was, in the end, good news to be had.  Ricky was coming home!  We are glad to have you home captain!
